The first phase of preserving Tybee Island's icon, the 1773 historical lighthouse, is right on schedule for repairs to its windows, Fresnel lens, roof and masonry. But there's one minor hiccup.

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) - The Tybee Island lighthouse has been a staple on the island for centuries once leading war vessels into Fort Pulaski and more recently, vessels into the Savannah Ports.
