The tornado-producing thunderstorm was moving northeast at 40 mph and also was producing half-dollar-size hail.

ABILENE, Texas — On this day, one year ago, an EF3 tornado struck Hawley/ Hodges around 7pm. This tornado was the strongest of 6 tornadoes that occurred across our area, in a three day span.

It's not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the storm. According to the Granbury Fire Department, most of the damage in the area occurred in Tolar, Texas, just southwest of Granbury.
