One of his most recent political statements came in the form of the song ‘Streets of Minneapolis.’ Inspired by the deaths of two local residents at the hands of ICE agents, the song is Springsteen’s tribute to the city’s immigrant community.

Bruce Springsteen has released a surprise cover version of the Pogues' "A Rainy Night in Soho" to honor their late frontman Shane MacGowan. It's the lead single from an upcoming all-star tribute album, 20th Century Paddy: The Songs of Shane MacGowan.

The news was announced in a post on MacGowan’s official social media pages. The message reads, “Our very good friend Bruce has recorded a beautiful version of ‘A Rainy Night in Soho.’ It’s a stunning tribute to Shane’s songwriting.”
