There should be a break in storms for a few hours late afternoon into early evening, but high-resolution modeling suggests a few isolated storms are possible close to sunset. Following this, colder air will begin to move in during the late evening and overnight hours with a few showers and even some snowflakes mixing in just before daybreak Monday.

The National Weather Service issued an updated report at 8:23 a.m. on Sunday for strong thunderstorms until 9 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Crawford County.

There is a small window through the early afternoon for severe thunderstorms as a cold front crosses western PA. Damaging winds are the primary threat. Activity will settle down this evening.
