The US Selective Service registration process is changing to automatic enrollment. The agency says the move aims to streamline registration.

Currently, almost all male U.S. citizens and immigrants aged 18 through 25 are required to register within 30 days of turning 18, with late registration available until age 26. Failure to register can carry legal penalties,

Eligible men may soon be automatically registered for the Selective Service, rather than registering themselves, as reported by The Hill. Most men between 18 and 25 are already supposed to register their names.
