California Highway Patrol officers recently lent a hand to a Marine Mammal Rescue crew when a sea lion was spotted posing majestically in front of a church in the coastal town of Tomales.

SeaWorld San Diego’s Rescue Team celebrated a heartwarming milestone, returning two rehabilitated sea lions to the ocean at Camp Pendleton’s training beach. This marks the county’s first sea lion release of 2025.

Two female sea lions, an adult and a pup, were released on a beach in Camp Pendleton Friday, marking the first return of the year by SeaWorld San Diego's rescue team.
