The $76 million deal heading George Kittle's way is an important line in the sand for the San Francisco 49ers.

"They're not close," Tom Pelissero of NFL Network said during a Tuesday appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show," as shared by David Bonilla of 49ers WebZone. "Nothing's imminent from my understanding here. But certainly this is a deal that I would anticipate that all parties have a vested interest in getting done before we get to training camp."

The 49ers lost a number of important players this offseason but the team replenished in the draft and took another QB late.
