New Cal Fire maps show the city’s ‘very high’ territory has increased 5% since 2011. City firefighters will discuss the maps at an April 10 community workshop.
According to Cal Fire data, San Diego County has 157,338 acres with “very high” fire hazard, the highest level of hazard. In 2011, that figure was more than 180,700 acres.
Ramona falls under the unincorporated areas of the maps, which are not separated by the various towns, officials said.
