Eastern redbud works great in the home landscape due to its medium size. It grows 20-30 feet tall and 25-35 feet wide. Eastern redbud is hardy in USDA Zones 4-9.

My redbud tree seems to be having problems, only half has bloomed this year, the other half is losing bark and has some dead-looking branches. I also see woodpeckers on the damaged parts.
