Popular paranormal horror game Phasmophobia is getting a film adaptation from Blumhouse. The production company known for its horror films made the announcement at its first-ever The Business of Fear in Hollywood.

Blumhouse is developing a feature film adaptation of the hit paranormal video game "Phasmophobia," the studio announced Tuesday. From British indie game developer Kinetic Games Limited, "Phasmophobia" launched in 2020 on Steam and since then has sold more than 22 million copies worldwide.

Blumhouse Productions has set its sights on another horror video game to adapt to film, developing a feature based on “ Phasmophobia ,” the first-person paranormal puzzle title that became a viral sensation during the COVID pandemic.
