Construction is now underway to add protected bike lanes, high-visibility crosswalks and other safety improvements to a 1.4-mile stretch of California Street in Mountain View.

The Mountain View City Council is looking to encourage more residential and commercial development along Moffett Boulevard.

In a unanimous vote, the Mountain View City Council decided to neither support nor oppose a bill that could curtail builder's remedy.
