Lesley Manville and John Lithgow were among the big winners at the Sunday's Olivier Awards, the most prestigious event in UK theatre. Lithgow won best actor for his portrayal of Roald Dahl in Giant, which he described as "one of the best experiences I have ever had on stage".

American actor John Lithgow and British actress Lesley Manville have won the acting categories at the 2025 Olivier Awards. Lithgow, 79, took home best actor in a play at the night of London theatre on Sunday, for playing Roald Dahl in Giant, about the children’s author grappling with whether to make a public apology.
