At this point, it's tough to think about Joel Embiid's injury-ridden NBA career. The 76ers center is clearly one of the most talented basketball players ever. He's just not on the floor enough. And the latest stat circulating social media on Friday really emphasized the health issues.

It’s been a brutal season of never-ending despondency for Joel Embiid. The 76ers’ star center has only played 13 of the first 44 games of the 2024-25 season because of various injuries. Veteran fans of the Sixers know that Embiid’s frequent health-related “Did Not Plays” (DNPs) aren’t new.

The 76ers originally announced in February 2024 that Embiid had undergone successful surgery on the meniscus in his left knee. After two months of recovery, Embiid returned for the end of the regular season and the playoffs before joining Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
