Joby Aviation, a front-runner in the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft segment, has partnered with Virgin Atlantic. The two companies intend to launch an air taxi service in the UK. The partnership is another step toward Joby's global commercialization, following similar deals in the US and UAE.

Virgin Atlantic has abandoned its relationship with Vertical Aerospace in favour of a deal with US air taxi developer Joby Aviation.

Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd. is linking up with commuter aviation startup Joby Aviation Inc. to offer passengers in the UK seamless booking and quicker travel to and from airports once air taxi service is approved in the country.
