Janelle Monáe flaunted a deconstructed suit look at the Met Gala on Monday, complete with an eye-catching monocle. The 10-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter graced the gala's midnight-blue floral carpet with a showstopping, punchy design from Thom Browne (the label ended up dressing several celebrities for fashion's biggest night).

While climbing the steps of the Met, costume designer Paul Tazewell removed Monáe’s overcoat to reveal another look. The second outfit of the night was a deconstructed sport coat and skirt. The left half was red wool crepe fabric with white accents; the right half was black and white pinstripes.

Known for turning heads with her gala looks, Monáe strutted the carpet in a black, red, and white pin-striped suit tailored to her frame with sharp, pointy shoulders
