Two female sea lions, an adult and a pup, were released on a beach in Camp Pendleton Friday, marking the first return of the year by SeaWorld San Diego’s rescue team.

The sea lions will likely join nearby communities in Oceanside or La Jolla, or swim up north to other populations off.
