Florida high school football has seen its fair share of head coaching jobs pop up all across the Sunshine State, but schools are moving ahead with filling them as off-season workouts are taking place.

Atkins, a Chicago native and former offensive guard at UT-Martin, has spent most of his career as an offensive line coach. He oversaw the position at Chattanooga, Georgia Southern, Tulane and Charlotte before he joined Florida State’s staff in 2020. Atkins coached tight ends once before in 2008 at UT-Martin.

Florida football is set to hire 33-year-old Vinnie Sunseri as its new co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach. Sunseri had recently onboarded with Jacksonville State

A.J. Williams was an assistant coach at Loveland. He played football at Sycamore and the University of Michigan.

One of Leon County's most well known high school sports figures is making his way back into the coaching ranks. Leon High School athletics announced Wednesday evening via Instagram that they were hiring former Leon County Athletic Director/FHSAA board member Ricky Bell as the Lions' next head football coach.
