Jason Momoa has some big news for “Dune” fans: the actor confirmed he will appear in the upcoming third installment of the “Dune” franchise. “I’m making a comeback,” he told TODAY’s Craig Melvin on Monday, March 31. “You heard it first, right here with you, baby.”

We haven’t seen the last of Duncan Idaho in the Dune movies. Per Momoa’s comments, director Denis Villeneuve will be following a similar storyline, as Momoa will return for the third Dune movie.

Jason Momoa has confirmed his return for Dune 3 despite the fact his character Duncan Idaho died in the first movie. Starring as the swordsman in 2021's Dune, Momoa's character was killed off and the actor did not make an appearance in Dune: Part Two.
