The Dallas Cowboys were reportedly eyeing a different AFC North wide receiver prior to their blockbuster trade with the Pittsburgh

The Cowboys are bringing in George Pickens after agreeing to a blockbuster trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ian Rapoport added that the deal will involve Dallas sending a third-round pick to the Steelers. The two teams will also swap late-round picks.

Pickens, 24, is entering the final year of his rookie deal, which means Jerry Jones, who serves as Cowboys general manager on top of owning the franchise, will have to sit down with the receiver's representation at some point to explore an extension.
