There were plenty of bridges captured by our snappers including Magdalen Bridge in Oxford, and there was also a photo of one of the city's most famous arches - the Bridge of Sighs.

It was difficult to pick a winner but in the end we selected Derek Bird’s atmospheric shot of an arch beneath Wallingford Bridge, with a beautifully lit view of sun on the Thames on a frosty morning.
