Gonzalez, was taken into custody by the Adams County Sheriff's Office early Friday morning and transferred into ICE custody shortly after. Aurora Police Chief Todd Chamberlain recently talked about the response time of officers after it was discovered that two men had escaped the Immigration and Customs Enforcement GEO facility earlier this week.

Federal officials said Aurora police declined to help in the search, but police department officials said the escape was not reported for almost five hours.
