The summer of soccer will take a new look this year with the FIFA Club World Cup, which comes to the U.S. for the first edition of the expanded competition that will see 32 teams from around the world compete for a share of the $1 billion prize purse.

CF Monterrey, also known as Rayados, qualified for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup by winning the CONCACAF Champions League in 2021. This will be Rayados' sixth time at the Club World Cup with their most recent coming in 2021. The Mexican side have never got past the semi-finals of the competition, losing in the final four in 2012 and 2019.
