A 34-year-old man has been charged with multiple crimes after he hit a deputy patrol car during a vehicle pursuit from Fluvanna County to the City of Charlottesville.

Albemarle County Sheriff J.E. “Chip” Harding is canvassing law enforcement leaders across the state to gauge support for a government-backed commission to help prevent wrongful convictions.

The drug investigation began in Culpeper but eventually led officials to Albemarle to find the alleged supplier.
