Today, Sega has debuted a new Sega Account system with supported Sega and Atlus titles, starting with Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This account system, similar to other account systems from major publishers and developers, encourages users to integrate in exchange for in-game rewards and enhanced functionality.

Sega has launched its own account service, simply called – wait for it – Sega Account. Users can sign up for free now via the official website, with the service promising to offer up unique rewards and benefits to those who play Sega and Atlus titles across all major platforms.

Those who create an account by March 7 will receive a special in-game costume in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. The costume in question is the Kazuma Kiryu Special Outfit, which lets Goro Majima dress up as the franchise's original protagonist. You can also get this same outfit by signing up for Sega's newsletter by February 25.

Like every publisher in the industry, SEGA wants to keep you captive. To do that, it’s launched a new SEGA Account which will eventually span all of its games but is starting with Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

Sega has introduced a new unified Sega account system that gives you access to "exclusive bonuses", including a free Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii skin.

Sega has launched a new online profile designed to used across its games going forwards. Sega Account is described by the company as “an online profile that gives you access to a host of benefits when playing Sega and Atlus titles and using their online services”.
