The Last of Us director Neil Druckmann has shared more details about Naughty Dog's upcoming game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. In an interview with Alex Garland, the writer of zombie movie 28 Days Later,

The Last of Us offers players a grim, greenish apocalypse where teenagers carry pistols and everything rots, but that apparently isn't hardcore enough for creator Neil Druckmann. The Naughty Dog director says that the studio's upcoming sci-fi title Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet won't be nearly as cuddly as The Last of Us' knife to throat – it wants you to feel as isolated as possible.

Druckmann’s character in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet goes through similar things in space. Since the game features a lonesome character, unlike some of the other games from Druckmann, where you would often have a companion, he wants the player to experience his new world completely alone.

In addition to the themes of faith and religion, Naughty Dog studio's new game will also focus on loneliness. Neil Druckmann wants players to really feel lost and confused.
