The band mutually parted ways with their founding guitarist just days before they were due to play at the Tool in the Sand festival – and it seems the YouTuber wasn’t given much time to learn the mate

Mastodon are expected to release the follow-up to 2021’s Hushed and Grim at some point this year, and have an extensive tour with Coheed and Cambria beginning May 10 in Salem, Va. The group will also be on hand for the final Black Sabbath concert on July 5 in Birmingham, England.

When it was announced late last week that Mastodon and guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds were splitting up after 25 years, it shocked the metal community. What would happen to Mastodon? While the details are slim, Mastodon have just revealed that they've split with co-founding guitarist Brent Hinds. The iconic Atlantan metal group revealed the surprising news over socials today (March 7th), noting that “after 25 monumental years together, Mastodon and Brent Hinds have mutually decided to part ways.”

Brent Hinds, lead guitarist and vocalist for the acclaimed modern metal outfit Mastodon has parted ways with the band.
