SAN FRANCISCO ― Florida basketball is moving on to the Elite Eight, as No. 1 seed UF overcame 17 turnovers to beat No. 4 seed Maryland 87-71 on Thursday night at the Chase Center. The Florida Gators (33-4) led just 40-38 at halftime and lost starting forward Alex Condon for a stretch in the first half with an ankle injury.

Florida basketball needed another late rally to stay alive in March Madness, this time beating Texas Tech to advance to the Final Four.

Madness will be set by late Sunday night after the last two games of the Elite Eight. It's been a chalky first few rounds of NCAA tournament action, and there's no Cinderella left. There are only powerhouses.
