Richard Childress Racing officially indicated that it will appeal a disqualification for Jesse Love and its No. 2 NASCAR Xfinity Series team

Richard Childress Racing stated Monday that it will appeal the disqualification of Jesse Love from this past weekend's NASCAR Xfinity race at Rockingham Speedway. Love took the checkered flag but NASCAR stated that his car failed post-race inspection and was disqualified.

JR Motorsports driver Sammy Smith, who was passed by Love for the lead on the final overtime restart , will inherit the race win. This is now the third win of Smith's young career and his first of the 2025 season. Parker Retzlaff has been promoted to a career-best finish of second, Harrison Burton third, Brennan Poole fourth, and Taylor Gray fifth.
