Johnson, Story and Black Hawk counties — home to Iowa's three public universities — must begin electing supervisors by district rather than at large.

The law changes the way county officials are elected in the three counties that are home to Iowa's public universities.

The Huskers faced off against Iowa for the second game of the series Saturday. Despite holding a lead throughout, Nebraska collapsed at the end 11-6.

One of Iowa's top transfer portal targets is headed elsewhere. Former Chattanooga guard Honor Huff announced his commitment to West Virginia on Saturday morning. Huff, the nation's leader in 3-point makes a season ago with 131, thought seriously about Iowa, but he's headed for Big 12 pastures instead.

After an impact season coming off the bench as a freshman for Iowa, former Hawkeyes women's basketball point guard Aaliyah Guyton committed to Illinois via the transfer portal. The 5-foot-7 guard from Peoria,

Illinois women’s basketball has its first transfer addition of the 2025 offseason. 5-foot-7 guard Aaliyah Guyton signed with the Illini on Sunday. Guyton, a Peoria, Ill. native, comes to Champaign after one season with Iowa.
