The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is officially open after 16 months of renovations. The IMS Museum has been closed since Nov. 2023. Visitors can look forward to 40,000 additional square feet with new exhibits and simulations.

The museum's glow-up tells the story of the Indianapolis 500 with new race-simulators, cultural artifacts like Janet Guthrie's hat and, yes, cars.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is open to the public after the completion of its $60.5 million, 17-month renovation, its first significant renovation in 40 years. The IMS Museum was closed to the public since November 2023 while undergoing a comprehensive transformation of its space and experiences.
