Dallas had some bad Day 1 draft luck in the 1990s. After trading up in the 1994 draft’s first round, the Cowboys’ choice of defensive end didn’t pan out. The Cowboys sent their 1994 first-rounder (No. 28) and a 1994 second-rounder (No. 62) to San Francisco for that year’s 23rd overall pick and a seventh-round selection.

Dallas is turning the page after a disastrous 2024 season which saw the Cowboys go 7-10 and miss the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

The 2025 NFL draft is quickly approaching, and the destinations of some of the top prospects are beginning to become more clear. One team that still has plenty of options ahead of them is the Dallas Cowboys. They currently hold the No. 12 overall pick and could take a few different directions in Round 1 alone.
