King Charles and Queen Camilla are beginning Royal Family celebrations to mark VE Day today. There will be a contingent of Royal Family members based on the Queen Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace to watch a procession down The Mall from Whitehall in honour of those who served during World War Two.

During their early courtship, it was widely reported that King Charles jokingly called Queen Camilla 'Gladys', while she referred to him as 'Fred', believed to be inspired by characters on BBC radio's "The Goon Show”.
