Pakistan accuses India of sponsoring terror after 26 hostages killed in train attack - Indian foreign ministry rejects ‘baseless allegations’

Director General Lieutenant Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said 26 hostages were killed by the terrorists before the start of the army operation.

The DG ISPR commended the Pakistan Army, Special Services Group, Law Enforcement Agencies and FC for conducting the operation with utmost precision and caution. He mentioned that not a single causality happened during the conduct of the operation. He said some passengers were martyred before the launch of the operation by the security forces.

Pakistani officials say insurgents who attacked a passenger train carrying 440 people in the southwest killed 21 hostages but security forces rescued the others.

ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistan’s military accused neighboring India on Friday of sponsoring insurgents in a restive southwestern province, where an unprecedented attack by armed separatists this week killed 26 passengers aboard a hijacked train.

India on Friday trashed Pakistan’s allegations of backing terrorism against that country following the Balochistan train attack and said Islamabad should look inwards before shifting the blame on others for its “failures”.

India has rebuffed Pakistan's claims of supporting terrorism, urging them to introspect. Pakistan accused India post a Balochistan train attack, but Afghanistan also rejected blame.

India has refuted Pakistan's claims regarding its involvement in the Jaffar Express attack, with MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stating that Pakistan should address its own issues rather than blame others for its failures.
