Alan Cumming is reprising his X-Men role of Nightcrawler for Marvel ‘s upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. After the cast reveal was made on a live stream, the Traitors US host took to social media to express his excitement about returning and share a video of himself practicing his Nightcrawler moves.

Scots actor Alan Cumming has been cast in Marvel's new Avengers film - as a superhero he last played 22 years ago. The 60-year-old, who grew up in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, will reprise his role as X Men character Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday.

Rebecca Romijn, 52, will officially return as Mystique. She starred as the shapeshifter in “X-Men, X2: X-Men United,” “X-Men: The Last Stand” and “X-Men: First Class and Joan in The Punisher.”
